FreeAcross Switzerland

The nationwide number for people affected by physical, psychological, or sexual violence.

Women's shelters of Switzerland

Protection and a safe place for women affected by violence and their children. The website shows the nearest shelter.

142 is not an emergency line. In immediate danger, dial 117 (police) or 144 (ambulance).

Your stay after a separation

You do not have to stay with a violent partner to keep your residence permit. Someone affected by domestic violence can keep their permit even after the marriage or relationship ends — the law treats this as a major personal reason. An accredited advice service helps you assert it.

What this page is

Emergency numbers last checked by hand on 09.06.2026.

Honestly

This page points the way — it is not advice or legal information, and no lawyer-client relationship is established. The services listed are independent and treat your request confidentially. The Quick exit button at the top immediately leaves this page for a neutral website.

These numbers are checked regularly.

If it's not an emergency

For general questions about residence, permits, and naturalisation, you'll find calm, verified explanations in the platform's guides.
