WCAG 2.2 · Statement
Accessibility
SIP aims for WCAG 2.2 Level AA. This statement honestly documents the current status and the known gaps.
Self-assessment10.06.2026
AA-aspirational — not yet externally audited.
The platform is built toward WCAG 2.2 Level AA; an external audit is pending. Until then, this statement is a self-assessment by the development and editorial teams.
This statement applies to the swissimmigrationpro.com website (all language versions).
Fulfilled criteria (self-assessment)
- Skip link to the main content for keyboard navigation.
- Semantic HTML structure (header, main, nav, footer, section).
- Visible focus indicators on every interactive element.
- Light-mode colour contrast: body text ≥ 7:1 (AAA), other text ≥ 4.5:1 (AA) — measured.
- All animations and transitions are disabled globally under prefers-reduced-motion.
- Form fields have explicit, programmatically associated labels.
- Images carry alt text or are marked purely decorative (aria-hidden).
Known limitations
External audit pending: without external testing, the platform claims no certified conformance.
Light mode only: the site is delivered deliberately in a single high-contrast light theme; a dark variant (prefers-color-scheme) is not currently offered.
Live regions: dynamic content (form status, asynchronous answers) uses aria-live, but is not yet fully tested with JAWS/NVDA/VoiceOver.
Crisis mode — special measures
The crisis page deliberately forgoes animation, uses oversized touch targets (≥ 44 × 44 px), high contrast levels and a quick-exit control. Every emergency number is hand-verified; no helpline is invented. Emergency numbers are also provided as directly dialable phone links (tel:).
